Installation
A pole installation is useful where towing space is limited. Plan the mounting position, immersion and cable routing for the vessel, and consider how hull motion and the installation geometry affect the survey.
Planning the vessel installation
A practical installation review should consider the mounting structure, cable protection and safe recovery of the equipment. Document the sonar position relative to the navigation antenna so the survey team can account for the installation geometry. Check the proposed configuration with the vessel operator before mobilisation. A short trial survey helps confirm that the imagery and navigation are being recorded as intended and provides a reference for later quality checks.
