RIKA Ultrasonic Weather Instruments
RIKA RK900-10, RK900-11 and RK900-12 instruments combine wind and environmental measurements in compact configurations. Choosing the measurement configuration
The RK900-10 configuration includes anti-corrosion marine protection treatment, making it relevant to enquiries involving marine exposure. It measures wind, air temperature, relative humidity and air pressure, and includes GPS and an electronic compass. The RK900-11 configuration provides wind speed and direction, air temperature, relative humidity and air pressure for compact weather monitoring.
The RK900-12 configuration extends the measurement set with solar irradiance, rainfall, PM1, PM2.5, PM10, illuminance, noise, visibility and UV. These additional parameters support applications where weather observations need to be considered alongside airborne particles and other environmental conditions.
Installation and data collection
The configurations presented here include RS232 output and a 10 m cable. Check the power supply and receiving interface against the selected product documentation before planning the installation. A logger, computer or telemetry system must be able to receive and interpret the instrument's output; the required data fields should be agreed as part of the integration scope.
Describe the proposed mounting location and nearby sources of airflow disturbance or local environmental influence. For marine enquiries, identify the expected exposure so that the protective treatment and installation requirements can be discussed for the specific model.
