Norbit Winghead i80S Ultra-High Resolution Integrated Bathymetric System

NORBIT has developed exciting new technologies that allow existing and new applications to benefit from the advantages offered by a compact wideband curved-array multibeam sonar. NORBIT's unique curved WINGHEAD transducer array configuration provides a wide swath coverage of up to 210 degrees, offering an along-track resolution of up to 0.3 degrees with a frequency of up to 700kHz. Applanix OceanMaster (globally leading GNSS/INS system) is embedded into the unit ensuring fast and reliable mobilization and high-resolution surveys over a wide swath1024 beams and 0.3 degrees beam width allow small subsea objects to be detected with excellent clarity.

Compact and tightly integrated (IMU, Gyro, GNSS, multibeam, side scan, snippets, backscatter, water column) and lightweight design allows Windhead i80S to be deployed from small USVs to large vessel permanent hull mounts. All these features increase efficiency and for sure quality.
