Edgetech 3400 Subbottom profiling system is a wideband Frequency Modulated (FM) sub-bottom profiler that uses EdgeTech's proprietary Full Spectrum CHIRP technology. It generates high-resolution images of the sub-bottom stratigraphy in oceans, lakes, and rivers and provides excellent penetration in various bottom types. The Edgetech 3400 comes in a dual 2-16 kHz transducer configuration. The towfish is configured with new PVDF receiver arrays segmented for standard sub-bottom profiling operations or a unique "pipe-line" mode for optimal location and imaging of buried pipelines. The system offers real-time reflection coefficient measurements, allowing users to collect complex "analytic" data using linear system architecture to measure sediment reflection and analyze sediment type determination. The system has discrete transmit and receive channels, allowing for continuous data collection. This results in a high ping rate, which is particularly important for construction and pipeline surveys.

EdgeTech OTS SBP features wideband CHIRP technology. 3400 OTS provides high-resolution images of the sub-bottom stratigraphy, penetrating up to 80 meters using a flat multi-channel hydrophone array to effectively penetrate various bottom types in oceans, lakes, and rivers. The 1-10 kHz frequency model can penetrate to 200 meters. The pipeline mode allows the location and visualization of buried pipelines or cables. The discrete transmit/receive channels and the ability to collect data continuously at a high ping rate is specifically designed for pipeline searches. The system also provides real-time reflection coefficient measurements, allowing users to collect detailed "analytical" data by evaluating sediment reflection and analyzing sediment types. With its lightweight construction, 3400 OTS is ideal for shallow water surveys using small boats. In addition, the low-frequency model, with its dual transmitter and large receiver array, is suitable for deep water and wind energy applications.
