AML Oceanographic Base X2

Latest generation of AML Oceanographic Base X2 presents the best profiler technology of today in a compact form. Designed for profiling in coastal waters, the instrument includes a shackle, a sensor cage, and an LED status indicator to simplify deployment preparation. Available in 100 m and 500 m versions, Base X2 retains the size of its predecessor while gaining embedded Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS and enables automatically downloading and processing into desired manufacturer formats, saving valuable time for the operator.

Base X2 is available for use of measuring conductivity, sound velocity, temperature, pressure, and turbidity by utilizing Xchange field-swappable and configurable to measure Conductivity, Temperature and Depth as CTD or Sound Velocity and Depth SVP. The sound velocity configuration has not alternative in the market, especially for hydrographic surveys that require high accuracy. Although sound velocity can be calculated by using CTD sensors it is not a preferred choice because of high accuracy requirements of hydrographic surveys

Base X2 is optimal for hand deployments from small boats, launches, and survey vessels. Changing sensors is easy, simply unscrew one sensor-head and replace it with another.
