Shark-S450S

The Shark-S450S High-Resolution Single-Frequency Side Scan Sonar is a compact and portable seabed imaging system designed for shallow to mid-water survey applications requiring high-resolution imagery and ultra-low power consumption. Operating at 450 kHz with support for LFM (CHIRP) and Continuous Wave (CW) transmission modes, the system delivers clear, high-contrast sonar images with a maximum operating range of 150 m per side. The sonar is integrated into a pressure-resistant stainless-steel towfish with a hydrodynamically optimized design to ensure stable towing performance. Multiple deployment options—including towed, hull-mounted, and side-mounted configurations—enable flexible use across various platforms. Supplied with OTech sonar software, the Shark-S450S supports real-time mosaicking, live mapping, survey planning, data recording and playback, target management, and standard XTF output, making it a reliable and efficient solution for rapid-response and routine survey operations.
