DJI

Aerial LiDAR and Photogrammetry DJI Matrice 350 RTK is a professional UAV platform for aerial surveying and engineering measurements. Zenmuse L2 LiDAR and the Zenmuse P1 photogrammetry camera serve different data-capture requirements on the same platform. Sensor selection depends on terrain, vegetation, required accuracy and the intended deliverables. Flight planning considers site geometry, obstacles, visibility, image overlap and ground control. Zenmuse L2 combines a laser scanner, an inertial measurement system and a 20 MP RGB camera. It records up to five returns, with a maximum output of 240,000 points per second in single-return mode and 1,200,000 points per second in multiple-return mode. Multiple returns can help distinguish vegetation from ground surfaces under suitable conditions. Published detection ranges describe specific reflectivity and illumination conditions and should not be interpreted as recommended flight heights. Zenmuse P1 uses a 45 MP full-frame sensor and a three-axis stabilised gimbal to capture photogrammetric aerial images. Its 8192 × 5460 pixel images provide input for detailed orthophotos and 3D models. A minimum photo interval of 0.7 seconds supports efficient acquisition when flight speed, overlap and exposure are appropriately planned. Depending on the project, LiDAR and image data can be processed into point clouds, digital terrain models, digital surface models, orthophotos and sections. Independent check points are used to assess the resulting accuracy. Kordil can define the survey and processing scope around the working area, required detail and delivery formats.
